A covid test is not required to stay in a homestay or enroll in community experience, however we do recommend you to take a COVID 19 test prior to arrival.

To make travelling with local communities safe, Community Homestay Network in coordination with the local communities have reviewed and implemented new COVID 19 safety guidelines adhering to the health and safety standards recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Government of Nepal.

Yes, we recommend that you bring your own mask and wear them at all times during your interactions with the host, guides or any other community members.

Your host will provide hand sanitizers during your stay at homestays. However, we do recommend you to carry your own sanitizers and use it often.

While most of the communities in our Network are accessible via local transportation, as a safety precaution we recommend you to take a private vehicle or a taxi.

To help the local host and guides prepare to host you according to safety guidelines, we only accept bookings that are made 24 hrs prior to arrival.

To facilitate for contactless payment we will be sending you digital payment details through which you can pay for your services.

Yes, book with us without advance, you can email or write in our customer support and we will book it for you without advance payment. The payment can be made once you are here in Nepal before your trip.

In case you have made advance payment, we will refund the full amount if you have to cancel your booking.

While on the trip, if you are unable to continue the remainder of the trip due to COVID-19 related issues and restrictions, the amount paid for any unused services will be refunded with no cost.

Yes, all Travellers flying into Nepal must obtain a COVID-19 Negative Report within 96 hours prior to departure from the first point of embarkation to Nepal. Children below 5 years are exempted from submitting such reports.

All travellers flying into Nepal except Indian Nationals will need to retake a PCR test upon arrival to Nepal.The Swab Collection for the required passengers will be done at Tribhuvan International Airport and the PCR Report will be sent via sms/email within 24 hrs. Passengers with positive PCR result will be required to stay in Quarantine as per the health protocol.

The entry/exit points at the land borders will be opened. All travellers including Indian and Foreign nationals coming via private and tourism vehi-cles through borders will be allowed. Such visitors must have COVID-19 Negative Report (RT-PCR/GeneXpert/True NAAT or equivalent) within 96 hours of their departure.

For travelers who are already vaccinated do not need to retake the PCR test in Nepal but they are required to show the COVID-19 Vaccination Certificate at the entry points.

All travellers entering Nepal must have Travel Insurance.

Following documents are required for on arrival visa for travellers:-

• Itinerary
• Arrival date to Nepal
• Travel Insurance
• For Trekking purposes, a valid trekking itinerary from a registered Trekking agency in Nepal. For Group Travellers all other conditions remain as it is.
• For Travel/Tour/Rafting, itinerary prepared by registered Travel/Tour/Rafting agency
• For FIT (Free Individual Traveller), a confirmed hotel booking is required. Regarding FIT Trekking purpose, a valid trekking itinerary, booking and guide/porter confirmation from registered trekking agency.

Upon submission of the above documents, the Immigration Office provides the Visa directly to the concerned.

All tourism destinations and tourism activities (hotel, restaurant, spa, rafting and night entertainment activities) will be operated following the prescribed guidelines and Health, Hygiene, Sanitation Protocol.
