Community Homestay Network hosted "Paryatan Sambad" (Tourism Dialogue) in Barauli-15, Nawalpur, in collaboration with Kawasoti Municipality, the Barauli-15 Ward Office, Nepal Tourism Board, and local tourism stakeholders. The dialogue brought together communities, government representatives, and partners to reflect on how community-led tourism drives sustainable development — from empowering women entrepreneurs to strengthening climate resilience and building inclusive local economies.
CHN's Product Development Lead, Pushpa Thapa, led the event, coordinating stakeholders and ensuring a productive exchange of ideas. A municipal representative noted that with continued collaboration and vision, Kawasoti Municipality holds strong potential to become a pioneer in responsible tourism destination management — a reflection of the shared commitment in the room to place communities at the center of tourism's future.
The dialogue reaffirmed a core belief at the heart of CHN's work: that tourism, when led by communities, becomes a powerful catalyst for lasting, positive change.
Attendees: Aava, Aayusha and Pushpa
