Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the entire experience take?

The full workshop lasts about 2 to 2.5 hours, including the factory tour, breaks, and the hands-on craft session. It’s designed to be relaxed but thorough, so you can really enjoy learning and making your own souvenir.

Do I need any prior experience in crafts or papermaking?

Not at all! The workshop is beginner-friendly. The local experts will demonstrate each step and help you create your own notebook and bookmark, so anyone can join in and have fun.

Is the factory visit child-friendly?

Yes, older children who can safely use basic craft tools (like scissors) will enjoy it. It’s educational and interactive. We recommend adult supervision at all times, especially during the craft-making.

Can I buy additional handmade paper products at the factory?

Absolutely. After the workshop, you’re welcome to browse the display house where a variety of Lokta paper goods are sold. There’s no obligation to buy, but many guests love to take extra gifts home.

How does my visit help the local community?

Your participation directly supports local jobs and fair trade practices. It helps keep traditional papermaking skills alive, funds sustainable production (including recycling and water treatment), and invests in community development through ethical trade.
