Fly to Bharatpur Airport, the nearest airport to Barauli, located approximately 40 km away. From Bharatpur, hire a taxi or take a local bus for a 1.5-hour drive to Barauli Community Homestay.
From Kathmandu or Pokhara: Take a tourist bus or private vehicle to Narayanghat, followed by a local bus or taxi to Barauli. The journey typically takes 5-7 hours from Kathmandu and 4-5 hours from Pokhara.
From Chitwan National Park: Barauli is about 25 km from the main park entrance. You can hire a taxi, use local transportation, or arrange a transfer through the Barauli Community Homestay.

The experience includes all materials for painting, hands-on guidance from local artisans, and an introduction to the history and cultural significance of Tharu wall paintings.
No prior experience is required! This activity is designed for all skill levels, and local hosts will guide you through the process step by step.
While this activity is available year-round, it is especially vibrant and festive during Tharu festivals, when the community comes together for wall painting.
The experience lasts approximately one hour and takes place at the Barauli Community Homestay.
Yes, a fee of 300 NPR per person is required and is paid directly to the host. Please ensure to have cash available for this payment.
